18th Annual Ocean/Viking Showdown The War at the Shore" Sportfishing Competition. Best described as a rendezvous with some serious fishing thrown in, the annual Showdown is a friendly and fun competition between these two manufacturers to determine annual bragging rights. Team members will be the guests of their respective manufacturers and are treated to nightly dinners, cocktail parties and other activities, all adding up to four great days of fishing and fun for owners, crew and family. 6th Annual Mid-Atlantic Tuna Tournament
Taking place during prime tuna time, this event is open to those who enjoy trolling and/or chunking for the genus Thunnus. Participants will fish two of three available days (captains' choice) and will have the option of either trolling, chunking or both. Prizes will be awarded by species: yellowfin (including bigeye) and bluefin. This event is structured to include boats of all sizes and can be entered at various financial levels. What do you get when you blend Carolina flare with California cool? The Albemarle-Cabo scramble of course. The 2006 summer for the first time ever, east met west as these two fine lines of sportfishing vessels came together for head-to-head competition in Cape May, New Jersey. Savoy Opera Company: Gilbert & Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore

The Savoy Company is the oldest amateur theater company in the world dedicated solely to the production of the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. They will perform a concert version of the G&S show “H.M.S. Pinafore” at 5:00pm in the Magnolia Room at the Chalfonte, and a buffet dinner will be served at 6:00pm. The company has a rich local tradition and performs annually at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia and at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square. Their casts, composed of local volunteer talent, have in the past included such luminaries as the film star Nelson Eddy, Metropolitan Opera soprano Margaret Harshaw, and Broadway star Wilbur Evans.
